A plain look at what each pair is made from and why.
| Ingredient | What it does | Source |

| Hinoki Cypress | Light in the hand, with a fine, straight grain that feels smooth against the fingers. | Grown in Japan, cut and dried before shaping. |
| Walnut Wood | Denser and darker than hinoki, it gives a pair more weight and a warmer tone. | Selected boards, checked for grain before cutting. |
| Urushi Lacquer | A thin natural coating that seals the wood and keeps the surface smooth through repeated washing. | Applied by hand in several thin coats and left to cure. |

Sourcing
We buy wood from suppliers who document origin and batch. Records are kept on file for every batch.

Testing
Each batch is checked by hand before it leaves the workshop. Anything below standard does not ship.

Labelling
The packaging states the wood type and the finish used. What is written is what you receive.
Material information describes what the chopsticks are made of. It is not medical advice; check with a professional if you have a wood or lacquer sensitivity.
